Lead Sketch Union are a Melbourne based collective taking influence from punk and indie bands like Knapsack, Something For Kate, Samiam, Blueline Medic and Jawbreaker. Having released two albums (Charter Decorum, The Arriviste in 2007 and Our Our Sea in 2009 on Poison City Records) and toured nationally, Lead Sketch Union are fast becoming a cult favourite around the land. Having supported punk legends Against Me, Avail and The Draft, they have shown that they are more than capable of matching it with international bands.

2009 sees the release of ‘Our Sea’, a collection of mature indie/punk rock songs ranging in inspiration from personal examination of daily life to the tragedy of the Black Saturday bushfires which came dangerously close to singer Darren Gibson’s neighbourhood. ’Our Sea’ is a collaboration of 9 songs with high energy, pure honesty and heartfelt exploration of experience, an amazing album from a band that is getting better with every release.
Lead Sketch Union are touring throughout 2009.

New Album “Our Sea” out now on Poison City Records.
