Kill Whitey are a four piece indie swing band from Melbourne that wears their hearts, and influences on their sleeves. They carry the flame lit by pioneers such as Husker Du, The Replacements, Dinosaur Jr and Archers of Loaf and strive to keep it burning for their own generation, and the next.
In 2007, after two years of demos, relentless writing and rehearsing Kill Whitey emerged, and immediately made an impression on the local scene. Influential Melbourne record label Poison City also took notice, and in mid 2008 they released Kill Whitey’s debut E.P. “Ain’t We All Evil “.
Since then they’ve toured the country and played with the likes of Gaslight Anthem, Defiance Ohio, Grand Fatal, Blueline Medic, A Death In The Family, The Scandal, Lead Sketch Union and Coue Method.
They are currently working on their first full length album, and a split E.P. with Grim Fandango from Perth. Kill Whitey will be touring nationally through October and November this year.
