The following review is in the current issue of Australia’s ‘Blunt Magazine’. Its more proof that we’re not the only ones that think it’s a cracking debut EP.

Everyone gets older, and some of us do it better than others. A lot of dudes past their punk rock prime delve into the ‘acoustic observer’ mode when their backs give out after spending years carrying guitar cabs up and down stairs in aweful dives all over the country. Steve Milligan (Mid Youth Crisis) does a great job keeping his lyrical vision alive while stripping his backing track down from raging hardcore to melodically pleasing, acoustic folk. Milligan’s voice is as strong as ever and like wise his lyrics as he shifts from emotive to scathing throughout the course the record, somehow keeping a punk rock tenacity that belies the gentle nature of the overall sound, especially when compared to what is often passed off as ‘punk rock’ or poignant these days.
